There are many unique obstacles and difficulties that need to be overcome by someone who is blind. Often times though, blindness may be complicated by additional disabilities. Blindness combined with deafness, for instance, multiplies the obstacles that need to be overcome. Blindness combined with cerebral palsy presents an entirely new set of challenges.

In order to best help those with additional disabilities, one of our staff, Mila Wayno, has undergone extensive training in this field. We offer home-based and center-based training to help parents in maximizing the fullest potential of their of multi-handicapped blind children.

We also provide ongoing training for special education teachers in how to best meet the needs of their multi-handicapped blind students.
